Dear Mom and Dad,
I love you. Please, never doubt that that is true. No matter how angry I get, how much our views may differ or how much I may disappoint you, I love you just as much as I know you love me. Life hasn't always been kind to me; in fact sometimes it was flat out malicious. But you've supported me through so much. Through confusion and depression, through anger and through hatred.

Dear Damon Salvatore,
Damn you for being so sexy. Damn you to hell. And damn Ian Somerhalder for being so goddamn sexy while playing you that he's inspired a few very interesting dreams. But let's not go there.
God I miss you. Why'd you have to go all the way up to New York for school? And then your family had to move to New Jersey. Sucks, that does.
Totally stolen from the awesome Hien. I’m going to try and do one a day but, well, I don’t have a good track record for consistency
When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth. So what the hell, leap. ~Cynthia Heimel

Pop quiz: what is the life lesson that you had drilled in your head the most in elementary school? If your school was anything like mine it was "be yourself." We've been told it a thousand times and told that if someone doesn't like you for who they are then you don't want to be friends with them anyway because they suck for not appreciating your uniqueness. But in practical use the life lesson is anything but.
If someone asked me what some of my worst qualities are in the top ten are that I'm terrible with money, I am materialistic, I am stubborn as a pig and ruthlessly competitive. The last two often get pushed together under the heading of "determined" during job interviews ;-)
